Supplied byElementis- Last Updated on Apr 9, 2024

Bengel® 908 by Elementis is a rheological additive for low to medium polarity aliphatic and aromatic coating systems. It is cost-effective organic derivative of a bentonite clay. It works well in other high polarity systems.
  • It effectively increases low shear and mid shear viscosity.
  • It offers excellent balance between sag resistance and flow & leveling properties.
  • It prevents pigment settling during storage and controls flooding and floating.
  • It stabilizes the paint and prevents excessive penetration of the liquid components into porous substrates.
  • It provides high transparency and light color gel and improves anti yellowing property.
  • It shows consistent batch to batch development of rheological properties.
  • It is used in interior/ exterior architectural coatings, industrial coatings, protective/ anticorrosive coatings, wood coatings primer and printing ink.
  • Recommended dosage is 0.2-2.0% by weight of the system.
  • Bengel® 908 has a shelf life of 4 years.
