BENAQUA® 4000 by Elementis is an organically modified hectorite-based rheological additive for waterborne systems. It provides high viscosity in low- to medium-shear-rate region, superior sag resistance at low package viscosity and improved shear-thinning rheology.
  • It has good storage stability at elevated temperature, freeze/thaw stability, enzyme resistance and colorant addition stability.
  • It gives very good suspension, efficient spray atomization, minimized mud cracking, enhanced textured and stippling effects.
  • BENAQUA® 4000 is applied to lower-gloss, matt emulsion paints, textured and high-build coatings, dry-fall paints, plasterboard coatings, primers/sealers, roads marking paints as well as semi-gloss emulsions.
  • The typical use level is 0.3-2.0% by weight.
  • It has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture.
