DBE-9

Supplied byDuPont- Last Updated on Aug 21, 2024

DBE-9 by DuPont is a high-boiling, oxygenated solvent. Used to provide a wide range of flexibility in coating formulations. Offers low toxicity, very good solvency, high boiling (low vapor pressure), slow evaporation, high flashpoint, biodegradability and compatibility with alkyd, acrylic, polyester, vinyl copolymer and other resins. Gives high gloss, good flow and levelling characteristics and good pigment hiding. Reduces solvent popping and orange peel. Suits for high solids coating applications. Can be used as a coalescing agent in waterborne formulations. Provides great color development in waterbased, tinted industrial, and trade sale paints. Can be used to produce polyester polyol for polyurethane coatings. Applications of DBE-9 include coil, can, industrial, decorative and architectural coatings and inks.
