DBE-3 by DuPont is an environment friendly high-boiling, oxygenated solvent grade. It is used to provide a wide range of flexibility in coating formulations. It offers low toxicity, good solvency, high boiling (low vapor pressure). It also provides slow evaporation, high flashpoint, biodegradability and compatibility with alkyd, acrylic, polyester, vinyl copolymer and other resins. It possess high gloss, good flow, levelling characteristics and good pigment hiding. It is suitable for high solid coating applications. It can be recommended as a coalescing agent in waterborne formulations. It provides great color development in waterbased, tinted industrial, and trade sale paints. DBE-3 is designed for coil, can, industrial, decorative and architectural coatings and inks.
