ELVAX™ 470 was part of DuPont but has been sold off to Dow. ELVAX™ 470 by Dow is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, filled with 18% wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene. It offers very good water vapor & gas barrier properties, toughness, flexibility and adhesion. It provides surface gloss, hardness and resistance to blocking. It can be used as a resin base for flexible, heat-sealable and hot melt coatings. ELVAX™ 470 can be used in industrial and wire coating applications. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
