RHOPLEX™ EI-5000 distributed by DKSH is 100% acrylic polymer emulsion that is designed for use as a binder. It is an excellent choice for use in exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) with drainage systems due to its excellent resistance to bulk water intrusion. It allows the passage of water vapor, and its adhesion to a variety of construction substrates.
- It offers early grab property which allows expanded polystyrene (EPS) adhered with a WRB to be rasped in few hours, depending on ambient conditions.
- It provides buttery consistency for easy trowel ability of formulated material, good elongation and crack bridging.
- It is used for non-cementitious, trowel-applied water-resistive barriers (WRBs) and coatings.
- RHOPLEX™ EI-5000 is available exclusively for the North America region.
