Crayvallac® SL distributed by DKSH is a high performance micronized amide wax rheology modifier designed for the high temperature manufacture of moisture curing methoxysilanes systems, where processing temperatures typically lie within the range 90-115°C.
- It is converted to an interacting network of crystalline fibres.
- It is this network that gives rise to the shear thinning rheology.
- This shear-thinning characteristic results in low viscosity at the shear rates associated with extrusion application and very high viscosity under the low shear rates experienced after application.
- It offers excellent extrusion properties, sag and slump resistance, minimal effect on modulus, and exceptional storage stability.
- Crayvallac® SL is used in paints and coatings.
- Recommended dosage level is 1-5% by mass on total formulation.
- It has a shelf life of 4 years.
- It is available in Canada.
