Chroma-chem® UCD® 5891E

Chroma-chem® UCD® 5891E distributed by DKSH is a transparent red-colored, iron oxide pigment dispersion. It is based on a proprietary alkali-soluble acrylic resin that provides unmatched colorant performance in tinting of in-plant coating systems.

• It consists of a low-molecular-weight, automotive type, alkali-soluble acrylic resin dissolved in water that provides excellent pigment wetting.
• It is VOC free and offers excellent lightfastness characteristics & excellent color performance with no negative impact on the final properties.
• It makes possible high pigment concentrations at relatively low mill base solids levels.
• The tinting strength of the colorant is controlled by volume to ±2% of the standard.
• It is compatible with acrylic/PVA emulsions, water-reducible polyester/epoxies, water-soluble alkyds and urethanes as well as with very low VOC and VOC coating systems.
• It has an alkaline pH and is suitable for use in both nonionic as well as anionic paint systems.
• Chroma-chem® UCD® 5891E is used for water-based industrial coatings, arts and crafts, automotive OEM, aqueous wood coatings, concrete protection, general industrial finishes, general OEM, industrial maintenance, integrally colored concrete, marine and protective coatings.
• It has a shelf life of 3 years.
