Desmodur® N 3200 by Covestro is a low viscosity, solvent-free aliphatic polyisocyanate resin based on HDI biuret. It is used primarily as the hardener for lightfast two-component polyurethane coatings.
- It exhibits high resistance to chemicals and weathering, very good gloss retention and outstanding mechanical properties.
- It is compatible with polyester or acrylic hydroxyl-functional co-reactants.
- It is suitable for the formulation of high-solids and coating systems.
- It is applicable for air- and force-drying coatings for automotive and industrial finishing, for wood, furniture and plastics and for corrosion protection.
- Desmodur® N 3200 has a shelf life of 6 months.
