Coapur™ 2025

Coapur™ 2025 by Coatex (Arkema Group) is a water soluble, non-ionic and solvent-free, associative polyurethane thickener designed for water-based formulations. It can be used sole or in combination either with other polyurethane thickeners or with any type of rheology modifiers such as acrylic or cellulosic thickeners, acting at low shear rates. It is an easy-to-handle, low viscous grade designed for automated dosing systems. Provides a real Newtonian behavior, i.e. a strong high shear viscosity development together with no effect on low shear viscosity. It offers good body, improved levelling and good film build. It is VOC-, APEO- and heavy metal free. It is used at a dosage level of 0.5-3% in lacquers, gloss and semi-gloss dispersion paints and 0.5-1.5% when combined with a medium and/ or low shear effective thickener. Shelf life of Coapur™ 2025 is 12 months.
