Emulsogen® LCN 287 by Clariant is a nonionic emulsifier, wetting agent and compatibilizer. It improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions. It is readily biodegradable, hazard-label-, APEO-, preservative-free and low-VOC product.
- It enhances shelf life with high freeze–thaw stability, prevents rub-out effects, increases tinting strength and improves surface wetting.
- It provides excellent adhesion on metal surfaces, and ensures prolonged workability.
- It is suitable for carbon black, inorganic & organic pigments.
- It is used for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates, styrene-butadiene, and vinyl acetate.
- Recommended usage is 1-3% active based on monomers.
- It is suitable for waterborne acrylic lacquers (low PVC), tinted waterborne coatings and low odor paints.
- It has a shelf life of 730 days.
