Compatibilizers

Based on 69 products - Last update on the Jun 26, 2025

Compatibilizers are typically clear to slightly hazy liquids that are key for achieving uniformity in multi-component systems, preventing phase separation, and ensuring optimal adhesion, flexibility, and durability. These characteristics make them particularly useful in multifunctional coatings like high-performance automotive finishes, architectural coatings, and industrial protective coatings.

A significant trend in the coatings industry is the increasing use of biodegradable and non-toxic compatibilizers to comply with stringent environmental regulations such as REACH and EPA standards. Alternatives include functionalized block copolymers and silicone-based compatibilizers.
