Emulsogen® LCN 158

Emulsogen® LCN 158 by Clariant acts as non-ionic emulsifier, wetting agent and compatibilizer. It improves wetting of the coated surface, provides good adhesion on polyethylene. It is an APEO-, preservative-free, readily biodegradable and low-VOC product that improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions.

• It minimizes haze, has no effect on storage stability, does not cause yellowing, and does not alter overpaintability performance.
• It also improves tinting strength, reduces rub-out and water absorption in waterborne acrylic lacquers.
• It is suitable for waterborne acrylic binder and solvent-borne alkyd binder system.
• It is ideal for water and solvent-borne high PVC paints and low PVC lacquers.
• It is recommended for decorative paints.
• Recommended dosage level for pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic, vinyl acetate and styrene butadiene is 2%.
• Emulsogen® LCN 158 has a shelf life 2 years.
