Emulsogen® LCN 118 by Clariant acts as non-ionic emulsifier, wetting agent and compatibilizer. It is an APEO-, preservative-free, readily biodegradable and low-VOC product that improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions.
  • It improves wetting of the coated surface, provides good adhesion on polyethylene.
  • It also improves tinting strength, reduces rub-out and water absorption in waterborne acrylic lacquers.
  • It reduces haze, shows no impact on storage stability, causes no yellowing effects, and does not influence overpaintability performance.
  • It is suitable for waterborne acrylic binder and solvent-borne alkyd binder system.
  • It is recommended for decorative paints.
  • Recommended dosage level for pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic, vinyl acetate and styrene butadiene is 2%.
  • Emulsogen® LCN 118 has the shelf life 2 years.
  • It is FDA approved.
