Prisorine™ 3501 by Cargill is isostearic acid. It is a long chain hydrocarbon with excellent color and thermo-oxidative stability. It allows product to deform under stress and prevents cracking and exposure to high temperature conditions. It can also be used in conjunction with flexible substrates. It is an easy to handle grade and offers longer lifetimes, manufacturing flexibility and improved aesthetics. It also allows high loading of pigment and fillers which can bring cost savings. Prisorine™ 3501 is used in automotive and industrial coatings.
