CERATIX® 8566 by Byk (Altana Group) is an aromatic-free, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer wax dispersion (EVA). Acts as a levelling agent. Exhibits special rheological properties which reduces the settling of the effect pigments in the container and in the circulation pipe. It improves the leveling of the subsequent clear coating, orientation of effect pigments (aluminum, mica etc.) and reduces large-scale clouding. It minimizes short-wave defects and enhances the flip-flop effect. CERATIX® 8566 is recommended for all solvent-borne base coats and one-coat top coats for automotive and industrial coatings. Complies with REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The dosage level for this product is 40-70% additive based on a solid binder.
