ADVITROL® 100

Supplied byBYK- Last Updated on May 13, 2021

Castor oil derivative. Acts as a thixotropic agent. It is significantly more thixotropic as compared to organoclays. It exhibits shear thinning that does not immediately rebuild upon removal of the shear forces. It provides a good balance between sag and leveling & usually is more effective in pigment suspension when compared to organoclay gellants. Used in trade sales paints, industrial maintenance coatings, marine coatings and product finishes. Also used in formulating high build epoxies and vinyls.
