Supplied byBorchers (Milliken)- Last Updated on Jun 10, 2026
Octa-Soligen® Zinc 10 by Borchers (Milliken) is a zinc-based secondary-drier. It is used in combination with primary driers (manganese or vanadium compounds). It improves through-drying, film hardness, pigment-wetting, dispersion, gloss, and color-fastness.
- It prevents wrinkling and orange peel on the surface of the paint film.
- It reduces the grind time when added to the formulation at an early stage.
- It can be applied in large quantities without leading to film discoloration.
- Octa-Soligen® Zinc 10 is used in solvent-based systems based on alkyds and epoxy esters that dry by oxidation.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.03-0.50% based on solid binder.
