Borchi® Gel A LA by Borchers (Milliken) is an APEO- and organo tin-free, anionic neutralized polyacrylate low-shear range thickener. It improves the flow and leveling properties of water-based coatings systems mainly in high gloss emulsions.
- It builds viscosity in the low shear range and swells water in the coating rather than associating it with binders.
- Borchi® Gel A LA minimizes roller splatter during application of emulsion paints, lacquers and printing inks.
- It is used in waterborne wood coatings and PUD resin systems for artificial leather applications.
- The recommended dosage is 0.1-2.0% on the total formulation.
