Bluesil™ RES 6482X

BLUESIL™ RES 6482X is a hydroxylated methylphenyl silicone resin in xylene solution. Offers good heat and weathering resistance and high compatibility with organic resins. It is also more compatible than other silicones with ureaformaldehyde, melamine-formaldehyde, epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic resins. It is designed to formulate glossy, heat-resistant silico-organic coatings for industrial applications with improved weatherability. It is mainly used for the manufacture of hard, air-drying, and temperature-resistant silicone polyester - alkyd paints. Another use is as an additive for epoxy paints. BLUESIL™ RES 6482X can be directly blended with alkyd resins (short or medium, oil-based) for the manufacture of industrial paints.
