Supplied byBASF- Last Updated on Jun 17, 2026

Laromer® PO 8996 by BASF is a multifunctional, polymeric amine-modified polyether acrylate for the formulation of radiation-curable coatings and printing inks. It provides moderate curing speed, low viscosity, and good thinning properties in emission-free UV-curable spray coatings.
  • It is fully compatible with common monomers and oligomers, including epoxy, polyester, and urethane acrylates.
  • It is soluble in esters, ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
  • It offers high reactivity together with good film flexibility.
  • It is an excellent binder for radiation-curable spray coatings where fast curing speed, high gloss, and low yellowing are required.
  • It can also be used as a thinner in combination with other amine-modified or unmodified resins and/or solvents.
  • It is used in radiation-curable coatings and printing inks for wood, wood-based products, paper, and plastics.
  • It is suitable for UV/EB inks, UV/EB overprint varnishes, pigmented and non-pigmented UV/EB lacquers, radiation-curable spray coatings, and curtain coating applications.
