Laromer® GPTA by BASF is an acrylic ester used as a reactive thinner in radiation-curable coatings. It is a trifunctional, low-viscosity polyether acrylate serving mainly as reactive diluent for oligomers such as epoxy acrylates and polyester acrylates in radiation-curable ink and overprint varnish formulations. It is an excellent film former with moderate shrinkage providing fast curing response and high gloss. Laromer® GPTA shows excellent curing speed, good flexibility while maintaining hardness and outstanding ink/water balance in UV- and electron-beam-curable offset applications.
