Efka® RM 1900 by BASF is a rheology modifier and thickening agent. It is a modified hydrogenated castor oil. It provides excellent sag resistance for non-aqueous formulations. It provides strong thixotropic effects in solvent-based coatings. It is recommended for paint formulations requiring high working temperature. Efka® RM 1900 is designed for solvent-based and solvent-free systems such as epoxy resin paints. Its recommended dosage level is 0.2-2.0%. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
