Efka® FL 3740 by BASF is a copolyacrylate-based leveling agent. It exhibits air release properties and eliminates or reduces cratering, fish eyes & orange peel. It improves flow, dispersion, and floating behavior. It prevents air entrapment and optimizes the wetting of the substrate. It modifies the surface tension of the coatings, due to its chemical structure. It is used in a non-aqueous, liquid- and powder coating system. It is also used in alkyd-, epoxy-, acrylic/melamine-, 2-component acrylic-, PVC-, polyurethane- and chlorinated rubber- coatings & nitrocellulose lacquers. The recommended dosage of Efka® FL 3740 is between 0.2 and 1.0% depending upon the formulation.
