Efka® FA 4671

Supplied byBASF- Last Updated on Jun 15, 2026

Efka® FA 4671 by BASF is a low-molecular weight dispersing agent. It is an alkylol ammonium salt of a high-molecular weight carboxylic acid. It helps reduce interfacial tension between hydrophilic pigments or extenders and the binder.
  • It provides faster dispersion, improved pigment dispersion stability, and reduced pigment sedimentation.
  • It helps prevent flooding, floating, and orange peel defects while improving gloss and leveling.
  • It is an effective anti-settling agent for wash and shop primers.
  • It enhances color acceptance in tinting bases of white latex paints, improving pigment efficiency.
  • Efka® FA 4671 is suitable for low & high polarity solvent and water-based coatings.
  • It is used in air-drying alkyd paints.
  • It has a shelf life of 4 years.
  • The recommended dosage is 0.5-2.0% by weight on inorganic pigment and 2.5–5.0% by weight on organic pigment.
