NECOWEL™ 720

NECOWEL™ 720 by ASK Chemicals is a polyol component to formulate 2K PU lacquers. It has a high molecular weight polyester backbone and incorporated building blocks which increase the reactivity towards isocyanates. This improves the drying time up to 3 hours and achieves pendulum hardness above 150 seconds after seven days while maintaining a pot-life greater than 6h. It results in the cured PU-coating, clear-coat and topcoat exhibiting high gloss retention as well as an excellent- scratch, chemical and weathering resistance. It is free of VOC and SVOC and does not contain APEO. As crosslinker HDI and IPDI based oligomeric polyisocyanates are recommended. As usual in PU systems, an excess of crosslinker is recommended (e.g. 150 % isocyanate). NECOWEL™ 720 has a shelf life of 6 months.
