Aquaflow™ NHS-300 by Ashland is a hydrophobically modified polyether. Acts as non-ionic associative thickener. It is cost effective, pH insensitive and biostable. Possesses superior flow, leveling as well as increased film build, full gloss development and excellent spatter resistance. Is compatible with acrylic, styrene-acrylic, vinyl-acrylic latexes and can be used in interior as well as exterior formulations. Can also be used as the sole rheology modifier in low-PVC paints made with small particle size latexes. However, combinations of Aquaflow™ NHS-300 often provide the optimum balance of high as well as low-shear viscosity.
