High solids styrene-acrylic polymer. Combines high adhesion with unusually high resistance to water and alkali. It has an excellent mechanical shear stability and excellent adhesion to a variety of architectural substrates like wood, low- and medium- density urethane foam, aluminium, and concrete. The polymer’s high alkali resistance allows its use over “green” cement or block fillers. Coatings attain water resistance quickly after application and will achieve and maintain desirable properties under extreme drying conditions. It is primarily used in elastomeric weather-barrier coatings.
