SETYRENE™ 23-3319 by allnex is the low HAPs containing high solids version of SETYRENE™ 23-3317 styrene acrylic modified copolymer alkyd. This resin possesses the very desirable properties of good set/dry speed with high gloss and good general film performance. It offers good pigment wetting properties. Improved flexibility may be attained via modification with PARAPLEX® G-31 at the level of 5 to 7% on resin non-volatile. SETYRENE™ 23-3319 will allow formulation of 3.5 lb/gal/420 g/l VOC coatings. It is designed for VOC compliant primers for general industrial enamels, implement coatings and compliant coatings for automotive under-hood parts. The shelf life of this product is one year.
