CYMEL® 304 by allnex is a specially alkylated, high solids melamine cross-linking agent. Systems formulated with it exhibit excellent catalyzed stability and films develop excellent early hardness, resistance properties, appearance, and cold check resistance. It contains very low free formaldehyde. Conversion
varnishes crosslinked with CYMEL® 304 have superior hydrolytic stability
relative to conventional urea-based formulas. It is compatible with alkyd-, acrylic and polyester resins. CYMEL® 304 offers fast cure response in both ambient and forced cure applications. It is designed for industrial wood coating applications. The shelf life of the grade is 1825 days.
