ADDITOL® VXL 4950 by allnex is adhesion promoting primer for plastics. Without special pre-treatment of plastic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polyamide (e.g. corona discharge, roughening, flame or chromic acid treatment) good adhesion of coatings can be obtained after applying a thin adhesion promoting layer to the surfaces. For plastic substrates made of polyethylene a short period of additional UV-irradiation of this film is recommendable. In general irradiation of ADDITOL® VXL 4950-coatings can further improve adhesion. It has a shelf life of 730 days.
