Firstcure® DEAP by Albemarle is 2,2-Diethoxyacetophenone. It is used as a high-boiling point, effective photoinitiator for UV-curable acrylate-based coatings, and inks. It offers non-yellowing properties. It provides good shelf stability and a fast cure rate. It imparts shelf stability and color stability to pigmented inks. Firstcure® DEAP is particularly useful for photocuring clear acrylate-based formulations where non-yellowing is important.
