DMMOPA

DMMOPA by Advancion (formerly ANGUS) is a multifunctional etheramine-based neutralizer and catalyst. It acts as a secondary coalescing agent to help lower overall co-solvent demand of the system, resulting in a more favorable VOC (volatile organic compound) profile. It offers high pKa for efficient neutralization, high volatility leading to better chemical, water and stain resistance of dry films.

• It provides improved dispersion stability compared to more hydrophobic neutralizers.
• It also provides excellent release from the film due to its low boiling point and ability to form an azeotrope with water.
• It helps create dry films more resistant to yellowing than other typical commodity tertiary amines such as triethylamine (TEA) and N,N-dimethylethanolamine (DMEA).
• It exhibits wide solubility range, excellent compatibility with commonly used binder systems, improved durability and corrosion resistance.
• It is supplied in anhydrous form and shows an inert tertiary amine functionality, making it suitable for reactive 2K systems.
• It cures faster and harder with an improved solvent resistance at a reduced curing temperature & application cycle time, energy use and overall costs while supporting the development of multi-substrate coatings on both metal and plastic surfaces.
• It is used in water-based automotive OEM, aftermarket coatings, industrial coatings, inks and latex paints.
• DMMOPA is listed with US EPA TSCA inventory and is REACH registered.
