AVANTANE® PA 4000

Supplied byAdvancion (formerly ANGUS)- Last Updated on Sep 12, 2023

AVANTANE® PA 4000 by Advancion (formerly ANGUS) is a wetting agent and adhesion promoter. Improves color development of ink through enhanced pigment dispersion, promotes excellent print definition and improves quality issues associated with less than optimal solvent release. Its application allows the pigment surface to be fully coated by the vehicle, and will eliminate the variances that result from a solvent deprived system. The beneficial vapor pressure of the additive eliminates the blushing problems because it can be formulated into the solvent blends to provide uniform solvent-release rates which control the release of the very rapid evaporating solvents that cause the blushing. In comparison to inks without it, most inks containing AVANTANE® PA 4000 will displace the moisture from the substrate and allow the surface to be wetted more readily by the ink. As a result, adhesion of the ink will be improved. Suitable for use in solvent-based rotogravure and flexographic printing. Recommended dosage is 8-15%.
