Water in Oil Emulsifiers for Coatings and Inks

Dispersogen® FA by Clariant is a low-VOC, surfactant-based wetting and non-ionic dispersing agent. It acts as emulsifier for W/O & O/W emulsions in paints and coatings. It improves the wetting of pigments & fillers and the compatibility with tinting systems. It is free of alkylphenol ethoxylates and preservatives.

• It is designed for water-based and solvent based pigment preparations and point-of-sales colorants.
• Recommended dosage is 0.2-1% in the paint formulation.
• Dispersogen® FA has a shelf life of 2 years.
• It is registered with REACH, AICS, DSL, ENCS, IECSCS, KECI, NECI, NZIoC, PICCS and TSCA.

Glycolube® STO by Arxada is a low HLB versatile surfactant. It acts as a W/O emulsifier, coupling agent and co-emulsifier. It is oil-soluble and highly effective. Glycolube® STO is suitable for solvent-based and solvent-free coating applications.

Span™ 80 TECH by Croda is sorbitan monooleate. It is easy to handle W/O emulsifier and dispersing agent for a-polar liquids. Span™ 80 TECH used in decorative and industrial coatings.

TERGITOL™ L-101 by Dow is nonionic surfactant. Used as general defoamer, paints, emulsion polymerization, textile production, agricultural formulations, water-in-oil emulsifier, auto-dish detergent & rinse aids. TERGITOL™ L-101 possesses effective defoaming.

Chempart SC 100 by Chemical Partners Industry is used as an emulsifying agent for preparation of water-in-oil emulsions. It is a highly effective, stable, colloidal suspension of polysaccharide in water derived from natural, agricultural source.

• It reduces cost keeping the same quality and reduces VOCs.
• It improves yellowing resistance, drying time and mechanical proprieties.
• Chempart SC 100 is used in solvent-based decorative paints, based on long or medium alkyd resins diluted with aliphatic solvents.
• The shelf life is 24 months.

SORBITAN MONOOLEATE SPAN 80 by Reaksiyon Kimya is a water-oil (w/o) or oil-water (o/w) emulsifier. It is used in coatings.

Fynol DG 100 by Fine Organics is a non-ionic, non-foaming emulsifier. It reduces the cost of solvent-based alkyd coatings while maintaining quality. It is also recommended for water in oil emulsion paints. Fynol DG 100 satisfies the VOC regulation by substituting the amount of solvents by water.

Fynol 80 by Fine Organics is a low HLB emulsifier for oil in water and water in oil emulsion. It acts as a co-emulsifier, dispersant, lubricant, corrosion inhibitor, anti-blocking-, wetting- and coupling agent. Fynol 80 is suitable for coating applications.

ULTRACID L 90 by Indorama Ventures Public Company is lauryl acid (9 EO) with 13.3 HLB value. It is used as a dispersant, humectant and emulsifier. This grade is efficient surfactant for oil in water and water in oil emulsions. ULTRACID L 90 is designed for use in coatings and paints.

ALKEST® SP 20 by Indorama Ventures Public Company is sorbitan monolaurate with 8.6 HLB value. It is used as humectant and emulsifier. It is also used as surfactant for water in oil emulsion. ALKEST® SP 20 is recommended for use in coatings and paints.
