Polyolefin Resins for Coatings and Inks

Non-ionic emulsion of a high melt polyethylene resin. Provides scuff, scratch and mar resistance. Offers increased tear and tensile strength.

ACumist® P-10 distributed by DKSH is a micronized polypropylene for matting and non-skid or non-slip applications for industrial solvent coatings. It offers excellent abrasion & scratch resistance. It is used in powder coatings. ACumist® P-10 is available in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Philippines.

A-C X® 1946 distributed by DKSH is a micronized amide modified polyethylene homopolymer and acts as a flatting agent. It is used in a wide range of paints and coatings.

• It provides good transparency, matting with clarity, soft silky feel and sandability in wood coatings.
• It improves surface slip, release and scratch resistance in a wide range of aqueous and non-aqueous coatings.
• It offers good abrasion performance, hand feeling and good demold.
• In powder coatings, it also improves degassing and can be easily incorporated into coatings with moderate agitation.
• A-C X® 1946 is suitable for clear- & pigmented systems.
• It is available in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Philippines.

A-C® 6A distributed by DKSH is a low density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer. It improves surface properties such as rub, mar and abrasion resistance, by lowering the coefficient of friction.

• It is suitable for use in solvent borne coatings, heat-set and liquid solvent-borne inks.
• A-C® 6A is available in Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Philippines.

ACumist® D-9 distributed by DKSH is a micronized polyethylene homopolymer. It is recommended for use in general purpose solvent borne coatings, stains & lacquers, and gravure inks for slip and rubs.

• It provides good balance of properties where economics are of paramount concern.
• ACumist® D-9 is available in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Philippines.

ACumist® A-12 distributed by DKSH is a micronized oxidized polyethylene homopolymer. It can also be used as a processing aid- & matting- and anti settling agent.

• It is used in water-based coatings, flexographic- & gravure inks and overprint varnishes.
• ACumist® A-12 is available in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Philippines.

ACumist® D-6 distributed by DKSH is a micronized polyethylene homopolymer. It is recommended for use in general purpose solvent borne coatings, stains and lacquers, and gravure inks.

• It provides a good balance of properties where economics are of paramount concern.
• ACumist® D-6 is availble in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Philippines.

ACumist® C-5 distributed by DKSH is a medium particle sized, micronized polyethylene homopolymer.

• It is recommended for use in thin film solvent borne coatings & flexographic inks.
• It is insoluble in solvents and UV based monomers and oligomers at room temperature.
• It is suitable for offset inks and can coatings.
• ACumist® C-5 is available in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Philippines.

A-C® 330 distributed by DKSH is a hard, high drop point, high density, oxidized polyethylene, homopolymer.

• It offers improved surface properties including mar and abrasion resistance by lowering the coefficient of friction. It allows it to be emulsified into water.
• A-C® 330 is recommended for use in water borne coatings and inks, overprint varnishes and polishes.

A-C® 680 distributed by DKSH is a low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer in prill form for use in solvent borne coatings as a rheological aid.

• It is used as an anti transpirant coating to delay fruit spoilage allowing longer storage and transport times. It acts as a metal release agent in PVC.
• It can lower the COF and provide surface properties such as mar & amp, abrasion resistance and increased slip.
• It is atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications, such as coatings and inks.
• A-C® 680 is available in Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand & Philippines.
