Natural Resins for Coatings and Inks

Tylose® H 15000 YP2 distributed by DKSH is a hydroxyethyl cellulose. highly etherified, with high biostability and retarded swelling time. It provides effects like thickening, pseudoplastic properties, water retention, protective colloid effects, film forming and a high level of salt tolerance.

• It offers high gloss, high pigment compatibility, high water retention, and high thickening effect.
• It exhibits moderate wet scrub resistance, anti-spattering, and pseudoplasticity.
• Tylose® H 15000 YP2 is used for paints and coatings applications like interior paints, exterior paints, silicon resin paints, tinters, silicate paints, glazes, gloss effect top coats.
• It is available in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland.

Tylose® H 100000 YP2 distributed by DKSH is hydroxyethyl cellulose. It is used in interior and exterior paints. It provides thickening effect, pseudoplastic properties, moderate water retention, protective colloid effects, film forming and a high level of salt tolerance.

• Tylose® H 100000 YP2 exhibits high gloss, high pigment compatibility and high wet scrub resistance.
• It is available in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland.

Aqualon™ EC-N10 distributed by DKSH is a cellulose ether made by the reaction of ethyl chloride with alkali cellulose. It is a pigment dispersant and thixotrope for solvent-borne inks. It is soluble in a wide range of solvents, and flexible over a wide range of temperatures. It shows resistance to alkalies, both dilute and concentrated, and to salt solutions.

• It is compatible with an unusually wide range of resins and plasticizers, including oils and waxes.
• It provides excellent electrical properties combined with good thermal stability, outstanding flexibility and toughness.
• It possesses high dielectric constant and scuff resistance.

Alcohol Soluble Rosin Resin by Foreverest Resources is modified by unsaturated acid and partially esterified with multi-alcohol. Alcohol Soluble Rosin Resin is recommended for use in alcohol soluble intaglio printing ink glazing oil and water-based ink and paints.

Modified Rosin by Foreverest Resources is modified by unsaturated acid and partially esterified with multi-alcohol. Modified Rosin is soluble in alkali water. Its application includes water based and alcohol soluble inks. It can also be used as a fruit freshness-keeping agent.

Modified Rosin Resin by Foreverest Resources has a high softening point and exhibits high hardness and high gloss. It shows good solubility in 120 solvents and high adhesion with HIPS, ABS, and vacuum plating. Modified Rosin Resin has good compatibility with TD1 modified alkyd resin.

Rosin Ester-Hydrogenated Rosin by Foreverest Resources possesses light color, high oxidation resistance and high thermal stability. Is one of the dominant varieties of modified rosin and is widely used in industry. Conjugated unsaturation of abietic resin acids can be removed through catalytic hydrogenation to overcome the shortcomings of oxidation and color degradation in rosin. Rosin Ester-Hydrogenated Rosin compatible in useful proportions with alkyds, natural and synthetic rubbers, natural resins, ethylcellulose, waxes, plastic polymers, elastomeric polymers, metallic pigments as well as many other raw materials.

Terpene polymer (Polyterpene Resin) by Foreverest Resources is polymerized by gum turpentine. Offers strong cohesive force, good aging resistance, heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and excellent dielectric properties. Terpene polymer (Polyterpene Resin) is radiation-proof, odorless and non-toxic. Used in hot melting coating, lacquer and superior printing ink.

Rosin Ester-Polymerized Rosin by Foreverest Resources is polymerized Rosin. Rosin Ester-Polymerized Rosin is a modified, non-crystalline product of gum rosin that contains abietic-type acids. It possesses higher softening point, good oxidation-resistance and higher viscosity in organic solvent. It is used in ink and oil paint.

ROQUETTE® AMIDON N-HV distributed by DKSH is cold water-soluble wheat starch. It can replace max 10% urea formaldehyde resin with same mechanical properties and without modification process in liquid glue formulation for wood board application.
