Maleic Acid Dibutyl Ester (DBM)
by Celanese
Maleic Acid Dibutyl Ester (DBM) by Celanese is a dibutyl maleate diester. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic ester-like odor. Used as a co-monomer in vinyl and acrylic emulsion polymerization for paints.
- Exhibits low glass transition temperature and minimum film forming temperature (MFFT).
- Improves the flexibility of the final films and hydrolytic stability.
- Reduces the hardness and brittleness of VAM homopolymers.
- The shelf life of Maleic Acid Dibutyl Ester (DBM) is one year.
Maleic Acid Di (2-ethylhexyl) Ester (DOM)
by Celanese
Maleic Acid Di (2-ethylhexyl) Ester (DOM) by {supplier] is a dioctyl maleate diester. It is a clear, virtually colorless liquid with an ester-like odor. Used as a co-monomer in vinyl and acrylic emulsion polymerization for paints.
- Exhibits low glass transition temperature, minimum film forming temperature (MFFT), reduces hardness, and brittleness of VAM homopolymers.
- Improves flexibility of the final films and hydrolytic stability.
- The shelf life of Maleic Acid Di (2-ethylhexyl) Ester (DOM) is one year.
MBM
by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical)
Monobutyl maleate. Provides a carboxylic acid functionality with maleate unsaturation, plasticizing effect and promotes improved polymer adhesion. It can be copolymerized with a variety of vinyl and acrylic monomers to provide coatings with improved stiffness and adhesion and reduced tackiness or tendency to block.
DMM
by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical)
Dimethyl maleate. It is a clear liquid monomer. Improves hardness and toughness of polymer films and anti-blocking properties of copolymers of vinyl acetate. Used in internal modifiers to increase the glass transition temperature of styrene or vinyl chloride polymers.
