V-Cap™ /TP
by Ashland
V-Cap™ /TP by Ashland is a reactive monomer used as a versatile, low-viscosity reactive diluent. It can be handled as a super-cooled liquid and remains stable in liquid form at room temperature for extended periods. It offers faster cure speed, improved adhesion, and enhanced hardness.
- It also imparts hydrophobicity and surface activity owing to its unique seven-membered ring structure.
- V-Cap™ /TP is used in inks such as screen and inkjet inks, and in specialty coatings including vinyl flooring, wood coatings, and release coatings.
V-Cap™ RC
by Ashland
V-Cap™ RC by Ashland is N-vinyl-2-caprolactam. It accelerates UV curing rates as the reactive diluent. Used in UV-curing inks (silk screening), vinyl flooring, wood- and release coatings.
- It has a pyrrolidone ring that produces amorphous and hydrophobic polymers.
- It is a supercooled liquid that remains as a liquid at room temperature for extended periods.
- Imparts unique solution viscosity reduction.
- Enhances adhesion to non-polar substrates.
- V-Cap™ RC also imparts hydrophilicity, adhesiveness, strength and complexing capability.
Caprolactam
by Grupa Azoty
e-aminocaproic acid lactam. Is offered in two states, white solid (irregular flakes) at 20°C, and colorless clear liquid above 70°C with no mechanical impurities. It is used as a monomer for the production of polyamide, polymers, thermoplastics, resins and thermosetting resins.
IHT -FC BCL
by IGM Resins
N,N'-Isophtaloyl bis caprolactam. It is a di-functional amido-chain extender. Offers good heat stability. Extended chain reaction occurs by coupling reaction of macromolecules through enhancing polymers molecular weight. It can be used for polyamide and polyester.
