Amide Resins for Coatings and Inks

Versamid® 150 by Huntsman is a low viscosity, reactive polyamide resin. It is designed for use with solid or liquid epoxy resins to provide tough, chemical resistance to thermoset coating applications that cure at room temperature. It exhibits chemical- & solvent resistance, flexural strength and compressive strength properties. Versamid® 150 offers a faster cure rate and slightly less flexibility than Versamid® 140 systems. Recommended for applications such as industrial maintenance surface coating and primers applications.

Low viscosity amidoamine resin. Possesses long pot life. Offers very good corrosion resistance. Provides very good flow and leveling properties. Gives very good compatibility with epoxies and other amine functional chemistries. Exhibits short induction time, low viscosity and high solid capabilities. Used in concrete primers and flooring.

Low viscosity amidoamine resin. Offers good compatibility with a wide range of epoxy products. Ideally suited for high solids formulations with low viscosity epoxy resins. Exhibits low viscosity and slow cure time. Used in industrial maintenance coatings.

Sulfonamide. Used as a raw material in fluorescent pigment. Recommended for use in nickle plating and polishing.

Genamid® 2000 by BASF is a moderate-low viscosity amidoamine resin. Provides good compatibility with a wide range of epoxy resin. Exhibits high chemical & water resistance coupled with hardness and flexibility. Offers generally faster curing times. Genamid® 2000 is used in high solids industrial coatings.

Thermosetting acrylic resin, acrylamide type. Used in general industrial stoving enamels for domestic appliances. Offers good stain and detergent resistance and hardness.

Versamid® 100PMX60 by Huntsman is propylene glycol monomethyl ether/xylene solution of a semi-solid reactive polyamide resin based on dimerized fatty acid and polyamines. Used with solid or liquid epoxy resins to give room temperature cure thermoset coatings. Gives long pot lives and fast tack-free. Exhibits low chemical and solvent resistance. Versamid® 100PMX60 is suitable for maintenance coatings, primers and enamel paint formulations.
