Algicides & Fungicides for Coatings and Inks

BIOBAN™ O 45 ANTIMICROBIAL distributed by DKSH is a liquid fungicide. It is an active ingredient which inhibits and controls fungal growth of many fungi associated with odors, staining, discoloration, and general biodeteroriation in industrial applications.

• BIOBAN™ O 45 ANTIMICROBIAL is designed for latex, solvent based paints, semitransparent-, solid stains and building materials such as elastomeric roof and wall coatings.
• It is used to control fungi in dispersed pigment, colorants and extended slurries.
• It is available in Canada.
• It has a shelf life of 60 months.

ROZONE™ 2000 distributed by DKSH is a liquid fungicide and algicide. It is a liquid mildewcide for the protection of paint films and coatings. It is a high-performance preservative against the growth of surface molds which also displays excellent activity against algae and bacteria.

• It has a very low water solubility.
• It has a high resistance to leaching even on weathered surfaces and provides a long-term protection.
• It is designed for water- or solvent-based coatings.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.55%.
• ROZONE™ 2000 is available in Canada.

SANIPOL® 75 distributed by DKSH is a surface sanitizer. It is an excellent preventive agent for surfaces prone to contaminations by any type of microorganisms. It is based on OIT and benzalkonium chloride. It is designed for the cleaning and disinfection of substrates that can be contaminated by any type of microorganisms, especially fungi and algae.

• It provides long term protection with broad spectrum efficacy.
• It finds its application on surfaces such as walls, roofs or other facing masonry that are going to be exposed to adverse atmospheric conditions, and that can also be protected afterwards with a film of coating.
• It does not affect coating films and does not require rinsing off.
• It has a shelf life of 12 months.
• It is available in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden.

FUNGIPOL® CP 123 distributed by DKSH is a VOC-, carbendazim- & diuron-free dry film preservative based on microencapsulated OIT, DCOIT and IPBC. It is used for protecting waterborne paint films & coatings against fungal and algal growth.

• It exhibits stability in a broad range of pH & temperatures and possesses a mild odor.
• It also improves resistance against alkali, UV & leaching.
• Suitable for interior- & exterior and other eco-friendly formulations.
• The recommended dosage level is between 0.25%-3.0%.
• The shelf life of FUNGIPOL® CP 123 is 12 months.
• It is available in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania & Sweden.

AOX52 distributed by DKSH is a highly concentrated, free-flowing, strong & long-term antimicrobial agent. It acts against a broad spectrum of bacteria, fungi, yeast, algae and COVID virus. It can be added to different kinds of paints and lacquers (water-based, solvent-based, solvent free).

• This highly durable product can be added directly into water-based paints by means by milling.
• It shows strong effect against SARS Covid virus (in accordance with ISO 21702) and against 10 strains of bacteria (according to JIS2801 and BS EN 14561).
• It will be added preferably in the hardener component in case of 2 component systems.
• Recommended dosage level is 1-2% per kg dry matter for coatings and paints.
• This product is available in USA and Asia/Pacific regions.

CASACIDE™ DCMX by Thomas Swan acts as a biocide and preservative. It is used to prevent the growth of microorganisms and extend the shelf life of products. It is suitable for paints and coatings applications.

• It is effective against wide range of bacteria, fungi & algae, that can grow on the surface of the products.
• It complies with US EPA and EU under various regulations including FIFRA and REACH.
• CASACIDE™ DCMX has a shelf life of 24 months.

Proxel® BZ Plus by Arxada is an antibacterial/anti-fungal preservative. It is an aqueous dispersion of a blend of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and zinc 2-pyridine-thiol-1- oxide.

• It offers effective control of a wide range of bacterial and fungal organisms at economic concentrations.
• It exhibits long-term storage stability.
• It provides ease of use due to its liquid form and very good compatibility in most aqueous systems.
• Proxel® BZ Plus is used in paints and stains.

Polyphase® AF1 by Arxada is a dry film preservative and non-metallic fungicide. It offers compatibility with water reducible resins and aqueous polymer emulsions such as pure acrylic, styrene acrylic and polyvinyl alcohol and copolymers. It is used in wood protection, lacquers and stucco/plasters. The usage level of Polyphase® AF1 is 0.1-6%.

Polyphase® P100 by Arxada is a non-metallic fungicide or mildewcide. Used in paper coatings, inks, protective paints & stains, wood preservation and wood protection. Provides protection against mildew and fabrics such as awnings, canvas, footwear, jute, outdoor leisure upholstery, outdoor sports apparel, furnishings, sails, show curtains, tents, tarpaulins, vertical blinds as well as umbrellas.

• Polyphase® P100 is an off-white crystalline solid, non-phenolic additive effective against a wide variety of fungal organisms.
• It is used in both aqueous as well as solvent-based coatings and dyestuffs that is applied to the fabric.

Zinc Omadine® ZOE by Arxada is a highly effective broad-spectrum dry film preservative that provides protection against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts, algae, and fungi.

• It is color-stable and offers good leaching resistance.
• It is particularly effective as a single active dry film preservative for architectural and industrial paints and coatings.
• It has a shelf life of 24 months.
