Acrylics & Acrylic Copolymers for Coatings and Inks

DEGALAN® LP 64/12 distributed by DKSH is a versatile binder methacrylates. It exhibits weather- and chemical resistance and lightfastness.

• It is used in UV-printing inks, aerosol, marine & container coatings, primers, impregnations, exterior house-, masonry- and road marking paints.
It is blendable with alcohol and possesses good adhesion to various substrates such as plastics, paper, textiles and metal.
• It is also designed for penetrating primers, concrete- and protective coatings.
• It is compatible with most PVC copolymers, PS, PC, PMMA, ABS, ester-soluble nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, plasticizer, cellulose acetobutyrates/ acetopropionate and partly compatible with alkyd and epoxy ester resins.
• It has a shelf life of 5 years.

DEGALAN® 64/12 N distributed by DKSH is a granulated polymer based on methacrylates. It is versatile binder for concrete- and thick-layer metal coatings. It exhibits weather- and chemical resistance and lightfastness.

• It is used in marine & container coatings, primers, impregnations, exterior house- and road marking paints and plastic coatings.
• It is compatible with most PVC copolymers, nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, plasticizer, cellulose acetobutyrates/acetopropionate and partly compatible with alkyd and epoxy ester resins.
• DEGALAN® 64/12 N has a shelf life of 5 years and is available in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

SETALUX® XCS 1516 TS-45 by allnex is a CPO modified acrylic polyol with 0.8% hydroxyl content (calculated on non-volatiles). It shows excellent adhesion on PP substrates, excellent water resistance and very good stability at low temperature. SETALUX® XCS 1516 TS-45 can be utilized in primers or metallic monocoats (1K and 2K).

VISCOPOL™ 6191 by allnex is a low-foaming, fast-drying and anionic styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion. It exhibits excellent water and grease-resistance, excellent gloss and adhesion properties and has excellent mechanical shear stability. It also shows excellent pigment wetting and good block resistance coupled with wide solvent tolerance. VISCOPOL™ 6191 is particularly recommended for use in water-based flexographic & gravure printing inks, overprint lacquers and paper & board-coating applications. It is also highly recommended for use in the formulation of anti-corrosive metal primers. It has a shelf life of 12 months.

Lacper® 4507 by Wanhua Chemical is a self-crosslinking acrylic copolymer emulsion. It shows high transparancy, excellent in-can and dry-film clarity because of its small particle size.

• It exhibits good film hardness, fast drying speed, good sandability and excellent chemical resistance.
• It has good adhesion to a variety of substrates such as wood, plastics such as ABS, PC and PVC.
• Lacper® 4507 contains no APEO, formaldehyde and its derivative.
• This waterborne resin is recommended for interior, exterior, primer sealer, midcoat, basecoat, clearcoat, topcoat, wood and plastic applications.

Photomer® 6008 distributed by DKSH is a high viscosity, proprietary, aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer. It is an excellent film former and it contributes towards unique performance properties typical of urethane acrylates in UV/EB curable formulations.

• It exhibits fast cure speed, low odor, skin irritancy and low volatility.
• It is recommended for use in UV/EB curable electronic coatings including solder masks, plate resists, conformal coatings, component coatings and insulating varnishes.
• It is an excellent base resin for screen printing inks where it contributes to consistent application viscosity, better pattern resolution and uniform coating thickness during cure.
• It forms tough, durable films with excellent high temperature stability, superior solvent resistance, high surface hardness and good flexibility when cured.
• It is suitable for lithographic and direct roll methods in addition to screen printing presses.
• It provide high gloss, reactivity, adhesion, yellowing resistance & high build and protection to printed surfaces.
• It is recommended for overprint coatings (varnishes) for paper/paperboard, plastics, metals and wood.
• The shelf life of Photomer® 6008 is 12 months.
• It is available in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and France.

Wantipro® 0626 by Wanhua Chemical is styrene-acrylic emulsion designed for metal anticorrosion coatings.

• It can be used for high gloss & fullness topcoats and also can be formulated into primer.
• It provides good adhesion to various metals and exhibits good chemical & water resistance and resistance to salt sprays.
• Wantipro® 0626 can be neutralized with approx <1% ammonia.
• Recommended for interior, exterior, primer sealer, clearcoat and topcoat applications.

EBECRYL® 3701 by allnex is a VOC-, solvent- and tin-free, modified bisphenol A epoxy diacrylate. It imparts flexibility and toughness to ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) cured coatings and inks, while maintaining fast cure response and superior chemical resistance that are typical of standard epoxy acrylates.

• It provides high gloss, and good abrasion and impact resistance.
• Formulated UV/EB curable products containing EBECRYL® 3701 may be applied via direct or reverse roll, offset gravure, metering rod, slot die, knife-over-roll, air knife, curtain, immersion and spin coating methods.
• It is recommended for clear coatings for paper, wood and rigid plastic, as well as lithographic, screen and flexographic ink vehicles.

Archsol® 8573 by Wanhua Chemical is an APEO- & formaldehyde-free, low odor hydroxylated acrylic copolymer emulsion.

• Exhibits excellent chemical & wear resistance and anti-graffiti property when used with water dispersible polyisocyanate hardeners.
• Applicable in both high gloss and matt varnish systems.

Archsol® 8119 by Wanhua Chemical is an APEO- & formaldehyde-free, anionic styrene-acrylic emulsion used in the preparation of latex paints.

• Exhibits excellent scrub resistance in 70-80% PVC formulas and excellent filler loading capacity.
• This waterborne resin is recommended for interior, primer sealer, clearcoat, topcoat and wall applications.
• Archsol® 8119 contains <1% sodium hydroxide as neutralizer.
