B-Tough™ C2r by Cargill is a VOC-free, reactive epoxy functional toughening agent. It is a low viscous, non-migratory additive which is easy to handle and to formulate with. It offers good chemical resistance and excellent impact resistance, while absorbing mechanical stress without impacting hardness.

• It allows for the formulation of zero to low VOC epoxy coatings with the flexibility of a solid epoxy (1001 type) resin-based system and the hardness of a liquid epoxy (828 type) resin-based system.
• B-Tough™ C2r is suitable for indoor floor-, industrial-, marine and protective coatings.

Bentone® 38 by Elementis is a highly efficient rheological modifier designed for use in low to intermediate polarity organic systems. It is an organic derivative of a hectorite clay.

• It increases viscosity, controls sagging on vertical surfaces, and penetration on porous substrates.
• It improves flow and leveling, prevents pigment settling during storage and syneresis in thixotropic systems.
• It is suitable for aerosol paints, anti-corrosive paints, automotive finishes and primers, coil coating systems, industrial paints, trichloroethylene dip coatings, and wood stains.
• It is used in interior and exterior house paints.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5% for house and industrial paints.
• Bentone® 38 has a shelf life of 4 years.

Susterra® Propanediol by Primient Covation is a pure, plant-based, petroleum-free diol. It is a non-toxic, food safe, renewably & sustainably sourced, 100% USDA bio-based building block. It exhibits high thermal stability and abrasion-, stain & scratch resistance. It is used as a co-solvent in water-based architectural- & industrial coatings and when used as polyol in PUD-s it helps improving adhesion, chemical-, corrosion & impact resistance as well as mechanical properties like resistance to deformation (Young’s modulus).

• In wood coating applications, it offers freeze-thaw protection & open time and prolongs durability due to higher initial elastic nature when formulated in PUD-s.
• It is used as a solvent, humectant and as monomer for polyester binders (polyol) in inks, providing dry performance.
• It improves flexibility & impact resistance, reduces viscosity when used to formulate epoxy polyesters for powder coatings, and is used as NPG replacement.
• Susterra® Propanediol acts as an excellent monomer for polyol production or as chain extender in high-performing polyurethane applications.
• It reduces solvents and provides grain enhancement & gloss in UV coatings.
• It generates up to 86% less greenhouse gas emissions compared to 1,4-butanediol (BDO), a common petrochemical-sourced alternative and propylene glycol.
• It can replace propylene glycol and boosts performance at both high & low temperatures.
• It is suitable to formulate PUD-s for synthetic leather skin coats concrete floors-, electronics- & industrial direct-to-metal coatings.

Borchi® OXY-Coat by Borchers (Milliken) is a high concentration, low-VOC, cobalt-free drier and metal-based catalyst. It improves drying activity, color performance, gloss and haze compared to cobalt-based driers in water- and solvent-based systems. It is suitable for high solids, composites and can be applied in multiple coats. It is based on a unique, patented and highly active iron complex.

• It offers improved adhesion in direct to metal applications.
• It extends the coatings season window by providing consistent curing performance in all weather conditions (hot or cold, dry or humid) for short, medium and long oil alkyd systems.
• It provides improved stain- and chemical resistance and lower gardner color numbers and can prevent wrinkles at higher film builds.
• It can be used in coatings for adverse weather conditions.
• It is recommended for all solvent-based coatings containing binders or resins that dry by oxidation including vegetable oils, epoxy esters and polybutadiene.
• Applications include wood flooring, architectural-, protective and marine coating.
• It is APEO-free, REACH and Proposition 65 compliant.
• The recommended dosage level of Borchi® OXY-Coat is 0.5-3%.

THIXATROL® ST by Elementis acts as a rheological additive for use in aliphatic and aromatic solvent-based coatings. It is an organically modified castor oil derivative. It provides increased viscosity, thixotropy, pigment suspension and sag control. It improves the flow and leveling of powder coatings. It is suitable for chlorinated rubber- and decorative coatings, traffic- and anti-fouling paints.

• It offers controlled penetration into porous substrates and imparts excellent package stability and reproducibility.
• It shows no adverse effect on paint durability and no influence on water-resistance of organic systems.
• It is non-yellowing in the final formulation and does not normally react with system components.
• THIXATROL® ST is used in epoxies, polyurethanes, varnishes, air dry industrial-, high build- and hammer finishes.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.8% by weight.
• It has a shelf life of 4 years.

SYLOID® C 809 distributed by DKSH is a high porosity, synthetic amorphous silica-based matting agent of medium particle size. It exhibits high matting effect, favorable gloss/ sheen ratio, outstanding incorporation and dispersion behavior and excellent overgrind resistance.

• It is suitable for use in coil coatings, general industrial coatings and decorative & trade sales paints.
• SYLOID® C 809 has a shelf life of 12 months.
• It is available in Europe.

Bentone® 34 by Elementis acts as a rheological additive designed for low to intermediate polarity organic systems. It is an organic derivative of a bentonite clay. It prevents pigment settling during storage and syneresis in thixotropic systems.

• It improves flow and leveling and controls sagging on vertical surfaces and penetration on porous substrates.
• It increases viscosity and provides thixotropy.
• It is used for anti-corrosive paints, automotive finishes, coil coating systems, dip coatings and industrial finishes.
• Also used in interior and exterior house paints including do-it-yourself paints, paint stripper pastes, printing inks, refinishes for household appliances and road marking paints.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5% for house and industrial paints, 0.5-1% for primer and 0.2-0.3 for aqueous systems.
• Bentone® 34 has a shelf life of 4 years.

Omyacoat 420 by Omya is an ultrafine, calcium carbonate-based, functional mineral filler. It is designed for solvent-based decorative paints, gloss powder coatings as well as industrial paints and coatings. It is based on UFGCC and ChameleoBoost™ technology. It boosts opacity and offers enhanced titanium dioxide performance through spacing effect and pigment stabilization. It shows very good dispersibility in water-based matt, semi-matt and semi-gloss paint systems. Omyacoat 420 provides gloss control, high brightness, reduced carbon footprint and optimized formulation cost.

WANNATE® HMDI by Wanhua Chemical is a liquid cycloaliphatic diisocyanate with low viscosity. It offers good mechanical strength, abrasion- and hydrolysis resistance, and retention of gloss and physical properties upon weathering.

• It forms optically clear polyurethanes in combination with suitable polyol co-reactants.
• WANNATE® HMDI is used in coatings for flooring, roofing, maintenance and textile applications.

Bentone SD® -1 by Elementis is a very easily dispersible, rheological additive for systems containing primarily aliphatic and other non-polar to medium-polarity solvents. It is an organic derivative of a bentonite clay. It provides viscosity increase, reduces sagging of coatings on vertical surfaces and prevents settling of pigments and fillers.

• It is a cost-effective replacement for conventional organoclay additives.
• It eliminates the need for pregel and needs no chemical activator.
• It can be added at any point in the paint manufacturing process.
• Bentone SD® -1 is used in anti-corrosive paints, bituminous coatings, decorative alkyd paints, do-it-yourself paints, printing inks, primers, fillers, undercoats, traffic paints and wood stains.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-2% by weight of the system.
• It has a shelf life of 4 years.
