UCD® 8097E by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is the red oxide BS pigment dispersion. Provides an excellent performance through ease of incorporation and resistance to flooding/floating as well as flocculation. It is formulated with a unique proprietary acrylic resin that provides excellent pigment wetting. This feature makes possible high pigment concentrations at relatively low mill base solids levels. The tinting strength of the colorant is controlled to ±2% of the standard. The color difference is controlled to less than 0.8 CIELAB units with the individual color components (DA, DB, and DL) controlled to ±0.80 CIELAB units. Compatible with acrylic/PVA emulsions, water-reducible polyester/epoxies, water-soluble alkyds and urethanes. Also compatible with systems containing co-solvents. It contains no hazardous air pollutants (HAPS) and less than 0.05 pound of volatile organic compounds (VOC) per gallon. Offers an alkaline pH, improved water resistance and block resistance. It is not recommended for use in manual volumetric dispensing systems. However, performance in dispenser systems with covered dispenser tips is acceptable. UCD® 8097E is used for water-based adhesives. UCD® 8406E by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is carbazole violet pigment dispersion. UCD® 5832E is used for water-based adhesives. UCD® 5739V by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is thermoplastic acrylic. It is an organic yellow RS pigment dispersion. The colorant vehicle consists of a low-molecular weight acrylic resin dissolved in propylene glycol monomethyl ether (PM) acetate. This combination provides superior compatibility with two-part urethanes, epoxies, alkyds of all oil lengths, and vinyl. Also compatible with alkyd urea, alkyd melamine, acrylic isocyanate, polyester isocyanate, nitrocellulose, vinyl toluene alkyd, polyester and epoxy ester. The tinting strength of this colorant is controlled to ±2% of the standard. The color difference is controlled to less than 0.8 CIELAB units with the individual color components (DA, DB, and DL) controlled to ±0.80 CIELAB units. The low molecular weight of its vehicle i.e. nonfunctional methacrylate polymer helps to ensure full development of pigment strength while providing a rheological profile suited to automated dispensers. UCD® 5739V is thixotropic, which makes it resistant to separation by settling or syneresis. Used for solvent-borne adhesives. UCD® 1507E by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is carbon black pigment dispersion.
