Vylonal® MD-1245

by Toyobo

Vylonal® MD-1245 by Toyobo is highly polymerized copolyester resin with a small amount of hydrophilic group and water containing a small amount of organic solvent. Shows excellent water resisting property because it contains a small amount of copolymerized monomer having a hydrophilic functional group. Water dispersing property and water resisting property in it are made compatible by adjusting the amount of this monomer. It is self-emulsification type (no surfactant is used) of water dispersion, and it shows same level of performances such as water resistance or adhesion strength as solvent soluble type of Vylon. Since its molecular terminal has hydroxyl groups, durability can be added in it by curing using the water-based curing agents (melamine, block isocyanate, etc.). Vylonal® MD-1245 offers excellent adhesion to various substrates such as PET and rich assortment of grades with a wide range of physical properties.
