Ultrafine precipitated calcium carbonate. Is a 0.07 micron uncoated calcite particle, rhombohedral in shape. The extremely small particle size results in high surface are, but only moderate oil absorption. Builds true thixotropic rheology in filled systems, and contributes to polymer reinforcement. Used for rheology control in sealants (butyls, plastisols, polysulfides and other polymer types) as well as for viscosity and sag build in solvent- and water-borne adhesives.
