Selvol™ 205

Selvol™ 205 by Sekisui Specialty Chemical is partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol resin. Used as the major component in adhesives. Provides high tensile strength, ease of film formation, very good adhesion to cellulosic substrates such as paper and wood and bonding characteristics. Shows resistance to greases, petroleum hydrocarbons and animal or vegetable oils, and to organic solvents. Offers penetration into wood and development of fiber tear. Selvol™ 205 gives strength, heat resistance and good adhesion to wood and paper. It is applicable for high performance wood and consumer/graft glue.

Selvol™ 205S

Selvol™ 205S by Sekisui Specialty Chemical is a partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol grade. It is manufactured from vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) via a multistep process. VAM is polymerized into polyvinyl acetate and then converted to polyvinyl alcohol. Selvol™ 205S is used most widely for adhesives.

Selvol™ 823

Selvol™ 823 by Sekisui Specialty Chemical is an improved partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol resin. Can be used as a modifier in polyvinyl acetate emulsion-based adhesives or as the major component in other adhesives. Provides high tensile strength, ease of film formation, very good adhesion to cellulosic substrates such as paper and wood and bonding characteristics. Shows resistance to greases, petroleum hydrocarbons and animal or vegetable oils, and to organic solvents. Can be crosslinked through its secondary hydroxyl functionality. Selvol™ 823 offers improved water solubility and lower foaming in emulsion polymerization applications. Applications : polymerization.
