Hercolyn® D by Pinova (DRT) is a methyl ester of hydrogenated rosin. It is a tackifier, wetting agent and plasticizer. It is a light amber liquid. Being hydrogenated, it has marked resistance to aging and oxidation. It exhibits high refractive index, high boiling point, low vapor pressure and wide compatibility & solubility ranges. Hercolyn® D is given a special steam purification treatment to assure consistent mild odor. It is also used as a resinous plasticizer or tackifier in finished products such as lacquers, inks, adhesives, floor tiles, artificial leather, and antifouling paints.
