Butylal by Lambiotte & Cie is a solvent based on dibutoxymethane (DBM). It is produced by reactions between alcohols and aldehydes. It shows very good profiles for health and environment with regard to toxicity and ecotoxicity. Butylal is suitable for formulating PVC-, PU- & heat sealable adhesives and contact glues.
