DBE® 5 esters by INVISTA is a readily biodegradable dibasic ester. Used as a solvent in adhesives, seals and gaskets. Offers very good solvency, high boiling point, low vapor pressure, slow evaporation, high flashpoint, low toxicity and mild odor. DBE® 5 esters provides compatibility with many plastics including polyethylene, polypropylene, fluorocarbon resins, nylon, and acetal resin, and with elastomers such as silicone, ethylene/propylene rubber, butyl rubber and fluoropolymers. It is readily soluble in alcohols, ketones, ethers and many hydrocarbons, but only slightly soluble in water and higher paraffins. DBE® LVP esters by INVISTA is suitable for sealing and caulks. It complies with following regulations: RCRA, SARA 302/304; 311/312; 313, NFPA & HMIS.
